THE SCOTTISH BORDERS WOODTURNERS
We are a small group of enthusiastic amateur woodturners in the Scottish Borders who meet every month. The club was formed in October 2006. Its sole purpose is to encourage and support anyone in the Scottish Borders area in pursuing their interest in woodturning at whatever level.
Many of our members have come from the woodturning evening classes run through the Borders College in Galashiels. At the end of the course they've thought, "What next?" and they miss the regular contact of likely-minded individuals. Other members have come to us along other paths.
Some of us have our own lathe and workshop, some do not. Everyone has enthusiasm, curiosity and above all else, a love of working with wood.
The main purpose of this website is to let people know when our next meeting will be. It also has more club details, contact information, reports of meetings and also galleries of members work.
Please feel free to return to this website but even more importantly why not come along to our next meeting at Crailing Hall.
Whether you are just starting your journey in woodturning or whether you want share skills in more advanced techniques you'll be sure of a warm welcome, a mug of coffee or tea, plenty of help, encouragement and chat!!
